Specialist distributor Wavelink has become a Fortinet Authorised Training Centre, offering in-person cyber security training.

With the certification, Wavelink can provide training with the curriculum developed for the Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) certification program. The distributor will also deliver training for the Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) – FortiGate Administrator course, which is virtually led by national Fortinet trainer Shihab Haque and is its first course on offer.

Additionally, it will also provide access to the FortiGate Immersion Lab to provide what it claims is an “in-depth, practical learning environment”, as well as offering private training events on request.

“Cyber security threats are evolving at an unprecedented rate, posing a significant challenge for Australian businesses. Coupled with the ongoing labour shortages and cyber security skills gaps, it’s imperative for organisations to stay ahead in safeguarding their digital infrastructure. Achieving the ATC accreditation empowers Wavelink to play a pivotal role in bridging this gap,” said Wavelink CEO Ilan Rubin.

Fortinet channel director John Milionis added that Wavelink’s role as an accredited ATC provider “aligns perfectly” with Fortinet’s goal to provide cyber security training to address skill gaps.

In the last month, Wavelink has been improving its cyber security portfolio, adding Swimlane and Orca Security to its portfolio of vendors.
