Professional services firm RSM Australia has joined up with cloud computing services provider Fastly to improve its cyber security services.

Under the agreement between the two companies, RSM will use Fastly’s cyber security solutions to support the “increasingly stringent compliance regulations within the industries in which its clients operate”, in addition to adhering to industry standards like PCI 4.0 and the federal government’s Australian Signals Directorate (ASD)’s Essential Eight maturity model.

Ashwin Pal, RSM director for security and privacy, said the firm was looking for a vendor that complemented its advisory and consulting skills.

“In Fastly, we found trusted technology and solutions which teams actually use and are well aligned with our customers’ risk management requirements,” he said.

Meanwhile, Alan Chan, Fastly head of channel and partnership for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ), added that RSM’s advisory skills and experience “are a perfect addition to Fastly’s ecosystem of partners”.

RSM’s commitment to improving its cyber security offerings comes just under a year after the dual appointment in June 2023 of Riaan Bronkhorst to partner in its security and privacy services team and Kaustubh Vazalwar to associate director in its security team.
