1. Cloud Security Acquisition: Veracode, an application risk management specialist, has acquired Longbow Security, a company focused on security risk management for cloud-native environments. The integration of Longbow into Veracode enables security teams to discover cloud and application assets quickly and easily assess their threat exposure using automated issue investigation and root cause analysis, the companies said. 2. Cyber Training Acquisition: OPSWAT, a specialist in critical infrastructure protection cybersecurity solutions, has acquired CIP Cyber, an online learning community with a mission of connecting, training and certifying cybersecurity professionals to protect critical infrastructure. The CIP Cyber acquisition brings OPSWAT Academy and CIP Cyber resources into one fully integrated platform, enabling a more comprehensive training community, the companies said. With 198,000 from CIP Cyber and 52,000 users from OPSWAT Academy, the joint community creates an expansive global network of certified professionals. 3. MSSP Partnership: Netrix Global, an MSSP and MSP, has formed a strategic partnership with Akamai Technologies, a cloud security company, to deliver microsegmentation services. Accordingly, Netrix has been chosen as a Professional Services and Managed Services partner for Akamai’s microsegmentation services.
4. Security Partnership: Graylog, a specialist in SIEM, enterprise log management and API security, is partnering with SOC Prime, a cyber defense platform provider. Integrating the SOC Prime Platform with Graylog Security, the partnership enables rapid threat detection and response, guided by the MITRE ATT&CK framework. Graylog further amplifies this capability by blending SOC Prime’s intelligence with other data context, enhancing risk identification and investigative efficiency, the companies said.
5. Threat Management Advancement: Brinqa has unveiled new capabilities that bolsters the Brinqa Platform’s position as a technology to modernize vulnerability management. These new features are designed to accelerate the implementation of a risk operations center (ROC), a new approach to vulnerability management that enables chief information security officers and their teams to reduce threat exposures pre-attack across cloud, infrastructure and application security programs, the company said.
6. Cloud Security Partnership: Seemplicity Security, a risk reduction and productivity platform provider, is partnering with Orca Security to transform how organizations respond to and remediate cloud security risks and vulnerabilities. Through this partnership, CloudOps and DevOps teams can accelerate response and remediation times, increase efficiency and improve their cloud security posture with end-to-end workflow automation for critical AWS, Azure and Google Cloud security risk findings, the companies said.
7. Threat Management Partnership: Darwinium, a specialist in next-generation digital security and fraud prevention, has formed a strategic partnership with IPinfo to fight advanced threats on a global scale. Darwinium’s continuous customer protection platform is now bolstered by IPinfo’s sophisticated IP address data sets, the companies said.
8. Free XDR Trial Offered: Blumira, a security and operations platform provider, is offering a free 30-day trial of its extended detection and response (XDR) platform. The trial period will enable IT teams to secure their organizations with no additional headcount or infrastructure and no costly security team, the company said. The solution combines security information and event management (SIEM), endpoint visibility and automated response.
9. AI Security Release: Picus Security, a security validation company, has brought to market Picus Numi AI. This generative AI security analyst empowers any member of a security team to access critical, up-to-date information about their security posture to make purposeful risk-based decisions. Through simple natural language queries, users can instantly review the findings of security validation assessments and get tailored recommendations to prioritize and address exposures, the company said.
10. API Product Launch: Salt Security, an API security company, has released Pepper, an in-product assistant and AI-powered knowledge-based assistant. Pepper can be used as customers’ all-knowing personal assistant to both API security and the Salt platform. Ask Pepper any question in natural language and it will utilize intelligent generative AI to craft a personalized, pinpointed answer to a query, the company said.
