NetSPI Acquires Hubble, Adds CAASM to Portfolio
NetSPI, a cybersecurity solutions provider, this week announced its acquisition of Hubble Technology Inc. (“Hubble”), a Northern Virginia-based cyber asset attack surface management (CAASM) and cybersecurity posture management solution. The company’s Founder, Tom Parker, will join NetSPI as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). “This acquisition is one of the most notable milestones on our journey from point-in-time pentesting to technology-enabled proactive security,” said Aaron Shilts, CEO at NetSPI. “You can’t secure what you don’t have visibility into. We support the most trusted brands on Earth giving them visibility into external/cloud assets and exposures. With Hubble’s CAASM solution, we can provide comprehensive, 360-degree visibility while delivering telemetry and insights across the entire IT estate. Traceable AI Report: “API Security Emerges as Top Concern for Financial Sector”
Traceable AI, a global leader in API security, this week released an in-depth report exposing the state of API security in the financial services industry. The study surveyed over 150 cybersecurity professionals in the United States, uncovering critical vulnerabilities, concerns, and current API security practices in the financial sector. Among other things, the report finds that 82 percent of financial institutions expressed moderate to extreme concern about complying with federal financial regulations, including FFIEC, OCC, and CFPB, and 76 percent are concerned about PCI-DSS compliance as it relates to their API security posture. “The findings of this report serve as a reality check for our industry. While financial organizations understand the importance of API security, many are still struggling with basic challenges,” said Richard Bird, Chief Security Officer at Traceable and former CISO in the financial services industry.
KnowBe4 Launches New Risk & Insurance Partner Program
KnowBe4, a security awareness training and simulated phishing platform, this week announced its new Risk & Insurance Partner Program. The KnowBe4 Risk & Insurance Partner Program is open to insurance agencies, brokers, risk pools and other risk management providers globally. “Our cyber insurance partners bring deep expertise in assessing and managing cyber risk,” said Prashant Pai, EVP, global head of business development, KnowBe4. “Our ability to monitor and measure detailed human risk information aligns perfectly with our partners’ underwriting approach. Coalfire and Tenable Announce Partnership
Coalfire, an industry-leading cybersecurity services and solutions company, announced it is partnering with Tenable, an exposure management solutions provider, to “drive a threat-focused approach to secure organizations of all sizes.” Leveraging Tenable’s expansive portfolio, including the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform, Coalfire’s team deliver crucial managed services for exposure management– providing deployment, configuration, ongoing management, and ultimately driving end-to-end remediation. Together, Coalfire and Tenable are rebuilding programs to rapidly identify and fix points of exposure, which better prepares a customer’s security program to counter the threats and vulnerabilities that seek to disrupt business operations and steal sensitive information.
Prosimo and Palo Alto Networks Collaborate to ‘Bring Zero Trust to Multicloud Environments’
Multicloud networking sofware company Prosimo Inc. this week announced a new integration with Palo Alto Networks Inc. to bring zero trust to application workloads and multicloud environments. The partnership sees Prosimo’s Full Stack Cloud Transit platform now integrating with Palo Alto’s VM-Series Virtual Next-Generation Firewall, allowing enterprises to deploy security as close as possible to the workload they protect. The architecture addresses challenges and gaps to secure application access across multicloud environments for users and workloads. “Integrating Prosimo’s Full Stack Cloud Transit and Palo Alto Networks VM-Series virtual firewall makes network security teams’ lives easier,” said Vitaliy Sivetskiy, senior product manager at Palo Alto Networks. “Our single intuitive operating model for connectivity and virtual firewall insertion means customers have more time to focus on application business innovation versus managing network and security infrastructure. This enables organizations to help protect all clouds, the right way, with agility.”
