NetSPI Acquires Hubble, Adds CAASM to Portfolio

NetSPI, a cybersecurity solutions provider, this week announced its acquisition of Hubble Technology Inc. (“Hubble”), a Northern Virginia-based cyber asset attack surface management (CAASM) and cybersecurity posture management solution. The company’s Founder, Tom Parker, will join NetSPI as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). “This acquisition is one of the most notable milestones on our journey from point-in-time pentesting to technology-enabled proactive security,” said Aaron Shilts, CEO at NetSPI. “You can’t secure what you don’t have visibility into. Traceable AI Report: “API Security Emerges as Top Concern for Financial Sector”

Traceable AI, a global leader in API security, this week released an in-depth report exposing the state of API security in the financial services industry. The study surveyed over 150 cybersecurity professionals in the United States, uncovering critical vulnerabilities, concerns, and current API security practices in the financial sector. Among other things, the report finds that 82 percent of financial institutions expressed moderate to extreme concern about complying with federal financial regulations, including FFIEC, OCC, and CFPB, and 76 percent are concerned about PCI-DSS compliance as it relates to their API security posture. “The findings of this report serve as a reality check for our industry. While financial organizations understand the importance of API security, many are still struggling with basic challenges,” said Richard Bird, Chief Security Officer at Traceable and former CISO in the financial services industry.
