In 2023 “there were 1.117 cyber security events involving critical infrastructures, 632 cyber attacks handled directly by the National Cybercrime Center for the Protection of Critical Infrastructures (Cnaipic), of which 192 were particularly serious”. The Minister of the Interior said it, Matteo Piantedosi, during the second day of the National Statistics Conference, organized by Istat. “Even in this case there was a significant increase in the first five months,” he added.
In 2023 “we had twelve thousand cyber attacks detected and 77 thousand alerts issued by the scientific and postal police. In just 5 months of this year there has been a five percent increase in cyber crimes” added the minister.
