Kevin Kiley of Lacework on Using Data-Driven Solutions to Tackle Modern Threats

Kevin Kiley, chief revenue officer, Lacework

With the shift from traditional data centers to cloud-based environments, cloud security is becoming a major challenge for security leaders. Historically, organizations protected their data by building robust firewalls and strong defenses around centralized data centers. But all of that changes with cloud, said Kevin Kiley, chief revenue officer at Lacework.

He recommended unique data-driven solutions that offer organizations the scale and sophistication to counter new challenges and the “ever-growing list of vulnerabilities.”

“Your data is now out with so many third parties, vendors, application providers, hosts, containers and Kubernetes,” he said. “And all of those are multiplied across perhaps multiple clouds. It’s clear the problem hasn’t been solved yet.”

In this video interview with Information Security Media Group at Infosecurity Europe 2024, Kiley also discussed:

  • The exponential growth of threats and risks in cloud environments;
  • The importance of visibility and context in prioritizing vulnerabilities;
  • Major concerns for CISOs, including regulations on security practices and reporting.

Kiley has more than 20 years of experience in scaling business growth and revenue. His areas of expertise include sales management, cloud computing, strategic partnerships and planning, and business development. Previously, he served as chief revenue officer at OneTrust.
